RE: Support the slides?
Been using them for over 10 years, no issues at all. Even had a tire go flat on us once, no issue. They provide extra stability. They slide doesn't bounce anymore, and is more stable in windy conditions. You only raised them up just enough to hold them in place, you don't try to raise the slide.
Regardless what the neigh sayer's say, they haven't used them or any personnel experience with them. I'll continue to use them. I would suggest you use your own good judgement.

RE: Re-coating Wheels
They are powder coated from the factory. To re-coat them, they would need to be stripped, polished and outgassed to ready to re-coat. You can not coat just one side, tires will need to be dismounted, wheels will go in a oven to be baked at 400* until the powder coat melts and adheres to the wheel.
I strip and coat parts every day. I do aluminum wheels for $300 a piece. I don't polish them, that would be an additional cost.

RE: Leveling Scissor Jacks
Found this at the end of the description;
Specs:
Capacity: 5,000 lbs per jack
Extended height: 24"
Retracted (collapsed) height: 4"
1-Year limited warranty
Note: These jacks are designed to stabilize a portion of your trailer's weight, not to support the full GVWR of your trailer. Do not use these jacks to lift your trailer or RV. Doing so will exceed the capacity of the jacks.
Not intended to level, just stabilize.

RE: 2009 Tiffin Phaeton Engine Rebuild
A long block is not the same as a complete engine, it is the block, crank, rods, pistons, and cam. That is it. You still have to reman the heads, turbo, pump, injectors, valve train, gaskets, etc.. Then you have to flush cooling system and after cooler. Not to mention all the other parts that need replaced, coolant hoses, charged air boots, fuel lines, filters, oil, coolant, etc.. The access is nothing but a pain in the ass and removal of the engine/transmission assembly is the only option to even try to work on it. It has to be dropped from the bottom or slid out the back. That takes a lot of man power and equipment. Sound's steep, but that is what you get in a pusher motor home

RE: Fifth wheel step damaging door frame any suggestions
That is caused by the user pushing the steps into travel position with out using the release lever to retract the locks. You can tell by the photos, the distortion is the with of the bolts and bent inwards. Operator error is not covered by any warranty.

RE: Fifth wheel chucking (practical help needed)
Check the location of your fifth wheel hitch, It needs to be forward of the rear axle, preferably 4". Since you have a short bed truck, chances are it is centered on or behind the rear axle
